HPV advocate Laura Brennan from Ennis has been working with the World Health Organization to prepare this video to mark World Cancer Day.
The 26-year-old, who has been named Clare Person of the Year 2019 by the Clare Association in Dublin, was diagnosed with terminal cervical cancer in 2017 and has been working with the HSE to promote the HPV vaccine.
The video is being released across Europe today, World Cancer Day to encourage parents to get the facts and get the vaccine. The second dose of the HPV vaccine will be offered to girls in second level schools in March and April. #ProtectOurFuture #OurHealthService
