Search ongoing for missing Shannon man

Gardaí have confirmed that missing Shannon man Peter Webb has been found safe and well. Gardaí have thanked the public for their assistance.

Earlier: Searches are continuing for a man reported missing from his home in Shannon, Co Clare for two days.

65-year-old Peter Webb was reported missing on Tuesday morning after his family became concerned for his welfare.

Peter is believed to have been driving a grey Nissan Qashqai (09-C-40725) when last seen.

Gardaí are appealing for anyone who may have seen this vehicle to contact any Garda station.

Gardaí have confirmed that searches have been carried out in the Clare and Limerick areas however no sign of the vehicle has been found.

In an appeal on Clare FM, Sergeant Seamus Mulligan of Shannon said the Webb family are extremely concerned for Peter’s welfare.

Sgt Mulligan also asked if Peter was listening to the radio that he would make contact with his family or if any other person has had contact with Peter, to notify his family or Shannon Garda Station.

Family and friends of the missing man have been helping search for him in the Shannon areas.
