World Cup Travel Kicks Off at Shannon Airport

The FIFA World Cup kicks off in the United States this week and while Ireland won’t feature on the pitch, the team at Shannon Airport will be busy playing their part.

Shannon is set to be a gateway for travelling supporters, particularly from Scotland, England and France, thanks to its direct flights to two host cities – Boston and New York/New Jersey.

Scotland will play two of its group stage matches at Boston Stadium, while England and France are scheduled to play group games in both Boston and New York/New Jersey Stadiums, making Shannon Airport a convenient departure point for fans heading stateside.
