TUI to operate summer service from Shannon to Majorca

TUI has confirmed plans to operate a direct flight from Shannon Airport to the Balearic Island of Majorca for Summer 2025,

The global travel and leisure company already flies from Shannon to Lanzarote and Costa Dorada during the summer months.

The new weekly service will operate every Tuesday from the 6th May 2025 until the 16th September 2025, allowing holidaymakers throughout the west of Ireland the opportunity to discover the largest of the Balearic Islands from their local airport.

Majorca is an all-round summer staple, home to golden sand beaches, hidden coves and picturesque harbours. The historic charm of Palma can be discovered through its vibrant local markets, ancient castles and picturesque streets. For families, the popular resorts of Alcudia, Puerto Pollensa, and Cala Bona are brimming with restaurants, shops, and cafés, while Ca’n Picafort, a former fishing village, boasts a stunning 13-kilometer stretch of sand. Sa Coma is ideal for couples, featuring a tree-lined promenade and romantic dining spots. Welcoming the expansion of TUIs Summer 2025 programme from Shannon Airport, Craig Morgan, Head of Ireland for TUI, said: “We are delighted to operate once again from Shannon Airport to Palma, Majorca. In welcoming the TUI announcement Declan Power, Head of Aviation Development says that the summer 2025 programme is welcome news for holidaymakers flying from Shannon with a wide range of TUI family properties available from their local airport. Holidaymakers can now take advantage of three weekly departures to Lanzarote, Majorca and Costa Dorada as well as TUI city breaks to both Paris and New York.

“We are delighted to have such a broad range of options for anyone flying from Shannon Airport and to welcome back TUI holidays on the Shannon to Palma Majorca route for the first time since 2019. This new service is a significant boost for our airport and a further endorsement of the growing demand from our customers, who are travelling from all over the country to Fly Shannon.”
