Two Status Yellow warnings still in place for Clare

Two Status Yellow weather weather warnings remain in place for Clare as Storm Gerrit makes its away across the country.

The first of the warnings is a wind and rain alert.

Met Éireann says southwest to west winds will be strong and gusty at times. A combination of spring tides, large waves and strong winds may result in some coastal flooding. Squally showers may lead to localised flooding.

The warning is valid until 6:00am on Friday

Meanwhile, a Status Yellow – Thunderstorm warning has been issued for all of Munster, Connacht and County Donegal

Scattered thunderstorms with lightning activity expected. Hail possible too.

Hazardous travelling conditions
Localised Flooding

The warning will remain in effect until 9.00pm on Thursday.
