Shannon Hibernians have secured a home draw in the fourth round of the Munster Junior Cup.
Hibs welcome Thurles Town to Shannon for the clash and they will be hoping to take another scalp in what has been a memorable competition for them to date having overcome three Premier Division sides in Sporting Ennistymon, Shannon Olympic and Ennis Town.
Avenue Utd and Bridge Utd must face off in Round Two. Last weekend Avenue ousted last season’s beaten finalists Newmarket Celtic on penalties while Bridge recorded a 2-0 first round win over Bridge Celtic. The winner of this tie faces Shannon Town in the third round with Limerick club Carew Park awaiting either of the Clare opposition.
Coole FC travel to Limerick for their fourth round outing against Fairview Rangers. The Gort based club have had to go to penalties in their tournament victories over Bridge Utd B and Turnpike Rovers while they defeated Rineanna Rovers 5-1 in the last round. This clash with Fairview will be their toughest challenge in the Munster Junior Cup this season.
All fourth round games are to take place on or before the weekend of January 21st/22nd 2017.
