Clare County Fire and Rescue Service is asking landowners and the general public to refrain from any outdoor burning during the ongoing spell of hot weather.
Arising from current Easterly high pressure weather conditions, forecast high temperatures and low relative humidity levels, a High Fire Risk has been announced by the Department of Agriculture, Food and Marine in all areas where hazardous fuels such as gorse, heather, dried grasses and other dead vegetation exist.
Emergency services have dealt with a number of collisions across the west and mid-west this afternoon all believed to have occurred during poor weather conditions.
