Clare County Council is inviting expressions of interest from casual traders wishing to offer their product or products for sale at the new indoor market facility currently being developed at Garraunakilla in Ennis.

Construction work is progressing on schedule and will deliver a new covered building for market traders in the town centre later this summer.

The Local Authority says it is particularly interested in receiving submissions from traders of high quality products that are typically produced locally and fall under one of a number of categories, including Fruit, Vegetables & Salads; Meat, Fish & Seafood, Dairy; Bakery & Confectionery; Eateries & Food To Go; Preserves; Speciality Foods; Beverage; Horticulture; Arts & Crafts; and Health & Beauty.

Submissions and expressions of interest should be addressed to the Casual Trading Section of Ennis Municipal District, Clare County Council, Áras Contae an Chláir, New Road, Ennis, Co. Clare, on or before 4.00 pm on Friday, July 15th 2016.

Applicants who are granted a licence will be required to provide Public Liability Insurance (specifically indemnifying Clare County Council to the value of €6.5m), proof of a current/valid Tax Clearance Certificate, and HSE Registration (Food only).
