Attention is turning to the local club scene with teams upping their preparations following the exit of both Clare Senior teams from their respective competitions.

Clubs across Clare have been informed of the upcoming dates for the next round of the Clare SFC and SHC. Round Two of the Clare SFC kicks off on the weekend of August 13th/14th which also coincides with the beginning of the Fleadh.

Focus switches to the small ball the week after with Clare SHC Round Two down for decision on the weekend of August 20th/21st.

Both championships will be run on a fortnightly basis. Ennis will be out of bounds for the second round clashes in the two competitions so no games will be held in Cusack Park and the same applies for Clarecastle and Gurteen. All football clashes are likely to take place in West Clare with the hurling tipped to be in venues such as Sixmilebridge and Shannon.

Extra time is to be played in the result of a draw in all rounds.
