Clare County Arts Office will host ‘’Seascapes’’, an exhibition of paintings by artist Brid Quinlan, at Cultúrlann Sweeney Gallery, Kilkee, from 21 August to 15 September.
Brid Quinlan is a self-taught artist who works mainly in the medium of oils. The Limerick-born artist says the paintings in her exhibition are inspired by the “ever-changing aspect of the sea”.
The paintings include Clare coastal locations such as Lahinch and the Cliffs of Moher, as well as several seascapes based on her time spent in The Canary Islands.
Cultúrlann Sweeney Kilkee is a 108 seat theatre, gallery space and library in Kilkee. For more visit www.culturlannsweeney.ie.
