Members of the Killaloe unit of the Irish Coast Guard were called out in the early hours of the morning to conduct a search for a missing person in Co Tipperary.
The team was alerted at around 2.30am and requested to assist An Garda Síochána with a search north of Templetuohy.
Two Land Search teams conducted searches of the area while members of the unit’s Unmanned Aerial System (drone) team deployed their DJI M30T and conducted searches using the thermal imaging camera.
At 6.30am, the missing person was located safe and well.
The team returned to base at 8:30am and prepared all their equipment for the next call.
Just last month, volunteers from Killaloe Coast Guard located a man reported missing in the Fiddane area in Tipperary using their drone technology.
The drone located the missing man directed land teams to his location.
The casualty who had suffered a fall earlier in the day was transported to University Hospital Limerick for treatment.
