The Lough Derg RNLI lifeboat was launched earlier this evening to assist four people on a 36ft cruiser which was reported to have run aground on the south-eastern shore the lake.

Data revealed by the National Lottery has shown how it continues makes a big impact on towns and communities right across Ireland, including Co. Clare.

The Lough Derg RNLI lifeboat was called on to assist two people on a 27ft cruiser reported to have suffered mechanical issues  engine failure off Mountshannon Harbour in Co Clare.

In response to the new system of calculated grades, Clare Youth Service will be offering online support and advice to students receiving their Leaving Cert results this September. 

Six organisations across Clare are to benefit from €186,206 worth of funding under the third tranche of the Government’s Covid-19 Stability Fund.

Clare has been selected as one of eight counties in the country to receive funding for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex (LGBTI+) services under the Dormant Accounts Fund.

A team of doctors and nursing staff from University Hospital Limerick are making a special push for charity over the next two days, cycling the 200km from Dooradoyle to Dublin to raise €100,000 for four charities working with people affected by COVID-19 – Alone, Aware, Breakthrough Cancer Research, and ICUsteps Dublin.
