The Doonbeg St. Patrick’s Day Parade Committee has confirmed details of this year’s celebrations, which promise a vibrant and family-focused weekend for the entire West Clare community and visitors alike.
The Doonbeg St. Patrick’s Day Parade will take place on Sunday 15th March at 3.30pm, bringing colour, music and community spirit to the heart of the village. This year’s parade will feature the renowned Tulla Pipe Band,as well and a second marching band from Limerick, adding a wonderful atmosphere and tradition to the day.
The 2026 parade theme is “Legends”, encouraging community groups, businesses, clubs and families to get creative in celebrating local heroes, sporting greats, historical icons and folklore favourites. With €1,000 in prize money and trophies on offer, a strong and imaginative turnout is anticipated.
This year’s Grand Marshal is Joe Russell, General Manager at Doonbeg Golf Club in honour of the resort hosting the 2026 Irish Open next September.
The parade line-up will also include:
- A Vintage Tractor & Car Rally
- Face Painting
- A Kids Disco
- And a much-anticipated Community Dog Show
Continuing the celebrations, the ever-popular Dog Show, fondly branded the “Pawrade”, will take place on the same day Sunday 16th March, with registration at 12.15pm in the outside area of the Comerford Bar, Doonbeg. The Pawrade will then commence for the public showcase at 1pm.
This event has grown year on year and is a wonderful way to involve families, young people and our four-legged friends in the St. Patrick’s weekend festivities.

The Dog Show is designed to be inclusive, light-hearted and fun, while also recognising responsible pet ownership and celebrating the important role pets play in family and community life.
