The Ennisman who founded Shannon based maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) Eirtech Aviation has been appointed CEO of a new global entity.
Niall Cunningham will head up the newly formed International Aerospace Coatings (IAC).
The formation of IAC followed the merger, in 2014, of three leading aircraft paint companies: Eirtech Aviation Limited and two US companies, Leading Edge Aviation Services and Associated Painters Inc.
IAC is the international name for specialist aircraft painting services offering tailor-made aircraft painting, interior refurbishment and aircraft graphic solutions that ensure international regulatory compliance. Its specialist teams achieve the highest of standards using only high-performance products.
With 16 paint hangars in Europe, Singapore and the U.S., IAC paints over 1,000 aircraft each year at its climate-controlled facilities, which include six wide body aircraft hangars.
Speaking about the unveiling of the new IAC corporate identity, Niall Cunningham said, “The logo design was inspired, rather aptly, by a bird. The Arctic tern is a seabird known for its extraordinary migration journeys, which can average 90,000kms, equal to flying twice around the planet.
“These distances achieved by Arctic terns are by far the longest migrations known in the animal kingdom and the story of these tiny creatures really appealed to us. Their journey is one of endurance, skill, tenacity and an ability to fly great distances, which, for us, drew parallels with the IAC story.”
IAC is committed to providing a service that exceeds expectations and keeps ‘birds’ in the air for the longest possible times. “The expert services we provide include aircraft painting, interior refurbishment and graphic solutions and ensure that our customer’s aircrafts are compliant with the most stringent of regulatory standards. Our aim is to provide a service that is durable and lasts the test of time. IAC’s high-performance products provide outstanding results from a trusted name, every time,” said Niall Cunningham.
