8.30pm – No injuries in M18 collisions
Meanwhile, a number of vehicles have crashed on the M18 north of Crusheen. A total of nine cars are understood to have lost control and crashed in the north and southbound lanes, in the same area, following a hail shower.
Units of the fire brigade from Ennis and Gort along with several garda units and an ambulance attended the incident which resulted in the motorway being closed in both directions between Crusheen and Gort.
No injuries have been reported.

One person has been taken to hospital following a two-car collision in Sixmilebridge this afternoon.
The collision happened at around 1.00pm at the main junction in the square where the R471 and R462 roads intersect.
Gardaí and an ambulance responded to the scene while three units of the fire brigade from Shannon Town were also requested to attend the incident following reports that a person was trapped in one of the vehicles.
On arrival, emergency services found that the female driver of one of the cars was complaining of injuries. She was assessed by paramedics before fire crews used cutting equipment to safely removed the casualty from the vehicle.
The woman was removed by ambulance to University Hospital Limerick for treatment. Her injuries are not believed to be serious.
The occupants of the second car, understood to be a woman and young child, were not injured.
Gardaí are investigating the collision.
