SMEs in the Mid West are encouraged to attend to find out what subsidised training options are available for their staff, and how they could save time and money by engaging with one of their local Skillnets networks.

Skillnets networks are funded by member companies and the Training Networks Programme, an initiative of Skillnets funded from the National Training Fund (NTF) through the Department of Education and Skills. Training networks work with their member businesses to design and deliver training that is cost efficient due to the funding available, relevant to their needs, provided at a time and a location that suits them, and of a high quality. Over 770 companies in the Mid-West are currently benefitting from training through their local Skillnets network.

The event will be opened by Minister of State for Employment and Small Business Pat Breen T.D. Other speakers will include Paul Healy, Chief Executive of Skillnets, and existing network members: Conor Flanagan, CEO, Atlantic Aviation Group and Michael Sheehy, Owner, Alert Liability Management, who will speak about how membership of a Skillnets network has helped their businesses.

There is also the opportunity to participate in taster training sessions being delivered on the day by industry professionals.  Peter Nolan, Management Consultant, Franklin Covey will speak on the world’s premier personal leadership development solution ‘7 Habits of Highly Effective People’.   Nolan is a Management Consultant and Executive Coach, and has represented Franklin Covey in Ireland since 2014.  He was also an SME business owner for 18 years and led a team of 30 employees in the import and distribution sector.
