Pearse Stadium has been confirmed as the venue for Clare’s Round 4A qualifier with Roscommon.
Following a meeting of the C.C.C.C this afternoon it was decided to schedule the game for Salthill stadium which has a capacity of 16,000. Throw-in on Saturday is at 3pm. In the other Round 4A qualifier, Tipperary play Derry in Kingspan Breffni Park, Cavan at 5pm.
Clare head into the game on the back of two qualifier wins in as many weeks while Roscommon have a six day turnaround from their Connacht Final defeat to Galway.
Saturday’s game will be a historic occasion for Clare football as it marks the first time that a match involving a football team from the County will be broadcast live on Sky Sports.
Meanwhile 4pm has been confirmed as the throw-in time for Sunday’s All-Ireland Senior Hurling quarter-final that pits Clare against neighbours Galway. That clash is preceded by the meeting of Waterford and Wexford at 2pm with both games taking place in Semple Stadium.
