The Department of Information Technology at Limerick Institute of Technology (LIT) is teaming up with Science Foundation Ireland (SFI) to support and promote careers in ICT through a series of free “Explore Events” for students, teachers, parents and career guidance counsellors.

Engineers Ireland is calling on primary and secondary school teachers in Clare to take the Engineers Week Challenge and bring the world of engineering alive in their classroom during Engineers Week.

Primary school children from third class and up are being invited to celebrate Science Week 2016 at Scariff, Killaloe, Ennis and Ennistymon libraries.

While robots will take over many traditional occupations, technology will also deliver new and different job opportunities.
