Fourteen festivals in Co Clare are set to benefit from €43,000 in funding.
The funding from Fáilte Ireland will be divided among local festivals who applied to its Regional Festivals and Participative Events Programme. The programme is reviewed every year with a view to generating incremental visitor growth and revenue.
The allocations range from €7,000 for Taste The Burren Food Trail to €1,000 for the Ennis Food Festival.
This year a total of 218 festivals/participative events will receive funding totalling over €690,000, an increase of 11 on the 2016 figure. There are 60 new festivals receiving funding this year.
The allocations to Clare Festivals are :
