Celebrity photographer Jenny McCarthy will join the expert wedding team at the Old Ground Hotel in Ennis for an exclusive afternoon of inspiration and style.

The Wedding Workshop will be held in the hotel’s newly renovated ballroom on Sunday, February 18th from 1 to 5pm.

Following a hugely significant €300,000 makeover, the special event will see the Old Ground’s refurbished Banner Banqueting room officially unveiled. The beautifully refurbished room combines the warmth of a country house with the luxury of a contemporary Irish hotel, offering soon-to-be brides and grooms a space to rival Ireland’s finest wedding venues.

The Old Ground is delighted to partner with wedding photographer Jenny McCarthy, one of Ireland’s most sought-after wedding photographers, who will present her impressive Bride Guide workshop on the day, where she will share her wealth of knowledge with guests on how to make their wedding day magical, from posing tips for photos, to advice on what to splurge or save on.

Jenny has captured the special moments at weddings of Ireland’s much-loved celebrities including Pippa O’Connor and Suzanne Jackson.

A selection of wedding exhibitors will be also on hand throughout the afternoon, providing couples with one-to-one advice on everything from stunning floral arrangements to romantic music to set the tone on their big day.

A mini fashion show will provide inspiration for the perfect wedding looks for ladies; with Ennis Bridal Boutique showcasing exquisite bridal gowns; while Mother of the Bride and Mother of the Groom and stylish guests will be catered for by County Boutique.

Steeped in history and tradition, the four star Old Ground Hotel is located in the heart of Ennis and right on the doorstep of the breath taking Cliffs of Moher and Wild Atlantic Way, boasting immaculate private gardens which provide an enchanting backdrop for a perfect wedding day.

Chief Reporter Pat Flynn has worked as a journalist for almost 30 years. His career began during the late 1980s when, like many aspiring radio presenters of the time, he worked for local pirate radio stations in Clare and Limerick. Pat joined Clare FM in 1990 where he worked as researcher initially and later presented several different programmes including the station's flagship current affairs programme.
