The Health Protection Surveillance Centre (HPSC) has been informed that 94 further people diagnosed with Covid-19 have died in Ireland. (44 of these deaths occurred in January; 2 in December and 1 in November)

There have been 3,513 deaths associated with the virus to date. *The figure includes “probable and possible” deaths.

An additional 1,013 new cases have been identified nationally bringing the total number of confirmed cases in Ireland since the outbreak began to 199,430. (7 cases have been denotified)

*10 new cases have been reported in Clare.
