The Irish nursing homes sector is facing major challenges in the years ahead, with the viability of nursing homes, not least in Co. Clare, becoming increasingly threatened, the latest BDO/Nursing Homes Ireland Survey reveals.

The Cathaoirleach of Clare County Council, Cllr Mary Howard, has welcomed the announcement of €15 million in funding under the Town and Village Renewal Scheme 2021 by the Minister for Rural and Community Development, Heather Humphreys TD, “at a time when the county’s towns and villages need to increase footfall and adapt post-Covid-19”.

After 14 years awarding third level student scholarships, the Naughton Foundation Scholarship scheme is once again reminding students from County Clare that the closing date is fast approaching and inviting all applicants to submit their entries.

Shannon Airport is set to receive over €6.3m from a government programme aimed at assisting regional state airports.
