Hundreds of people gathered at the Pavilion theatre in Lisdoonvarna at the weekend, as the Burren Slow Food Festival returned after a gap of three years.
The Burren Slow Food 2022 festival will take place from Friday to Sunday, May 20th to 22nd, and will be dedicated to raising awareness about and promoting the concept of “GEOfood.”
A celebration of the rich food culture of the ‘Fertile Rock of the Burren’ will be the focus of this year’s Burren Slow food Festival’ – an event that will see producers and chefs come together in a series of online pairings.
The 13th annual Burren Slow Food Festival took place in Lisdoonvarna recently and brought together food and drinks producers, cooks, creators, eaters and writers for a weekend of talks, demonstrations and pop-up dinners from high profile chefs including Michelin stars Danni Barry and Takashi Miyazaki, Belfast’s Bia Rebel Head Chef Brian Donnelly and Euro-Toques Commissioner General, Gareth Mullins.
