Clare County Council has announced details of a funding programme supporting local festivals and participative events that will drive domestic tourism, stimulate local economic activity and help to improve the visitor experience in Clare.
The county is returning to normal today as the clean-up operation continues and as businesses count the cost of the recent 'Beast from the East' and Storm Emma weather events.
Due to the Status Red weather warning in place for County Clare, Clare County Council offices and facilities will be closed to the public from 1.00 pm tomorrow (Thursday, 1 March 2018) and will re-open on Monday morning with business as usual, weather permitting.
Clare County Council has received confirmation from Mr. Kevin Moran, T.D., Minister of State with responsibility for the Office of Public Works (OPW) and Flood Relief, of his decision to allocate funding totalling €8.6m to Clare County Council for the River Fergus (Ennis South) Flood Relief Scheme.
