Clare students have been urged to consider an accountancy apprenticeship programme which will create 140 jobs nationally this year.

Following a Government decision today, Minister for Education Norma Foley TD has announced extensive changes to the state examinations for 2022.

Gaelcholáiste an Chláir student Róisín Ní Fhallúin achieved one of the highest scores in the country in the Leaving Certificate results which which were announced this morning, scoring a total of 7 H1 grades, and a maximum 625 points.

This Wednesday 1,289 students in Co Clare will receive their Leaving Certificate results and the ISPCC has issued tips to help parents support those young people.

2,763 Clare students began their State Examinations this week.

A total of 2,763 students commenced their State Examinations in Co Clare today.
