The Kilrush RNLI lifeboat was called to assist two fishermen after the propellor on their boat became fouled on a string of lobster pots.

The Killaloe unit of the Irish Coast Guard was called out last night to assist two people on board a boat that had broken down on Lough Derg.

The volunteer crew of the Kilrush RNLI lifeboat launched this morning following reports of a vessel in difficulty off in the Shannon Estuary Querrin in West Clare.

The Doolin unit of the Irish Coast Guard was requested to launch their rescue boat early this morning after a vessel was reported to be in difficulty off the Clare coast.

The Irish Coast Guard requested Lough Derg RNLI lifeboat to launch to assist 2 people on a 27ft cruiser suffering engine trouble in the rough weather conditions. The cruiser was reported to be one nautical mile north of Illaunmor.

A rescue operation was mounted this afternoon following reports that a vessel with four people on board was taking on water and at risk of sinking.

The Lough Derg RNLI lifeboat was launched earlier this evening to assist four people on a 36ft cruiser which was reported to have run aground on the south-eastern shore the lake.

The Lough Derg RNLI lifeboat was called out to assist four people on a 35ft cruise boat that was reported to have run aground on the lake last night.      

The Lough Derg RNLI lifeboat was called on to assist two people on a 27ft cruiser reported to have suffered mechanical issues  engine failure off Mountshannon Harbour in Co Clare.
