‘This Native Land of Mine’, an Art Exhibition by Frances Bailey

Clare Arts Office presents ‘This Native Land of Mine’, an art exhibition by Frances Bailey at Clare Museum, Ennis.

Celebrating a lifetime of memories rooted in Clare, this exhibition takes place from Monday, April 27, through Friday, May 29, officially opening at 3pm on Friday, May 1.

A Clare-based artist, Frances has been painting since 1976 and is highly accomplished in both oils and acrylics, with a particular passion for landscape painting.

Over the years, she has exhibited widely and is the founder of the Mulbin Art Group, a collective of artists and friends who painted together in the Newmarket-on-Fergus area for many years.

Frances is deeply committed to sharing her love of art. She has volunteered time and expertise for decades and currently teaches in day care centres in Newmarket-on-Fergus and Clarecastle. Her work reflects not only her artistic talent but also her deep connection to Clare’s landscapes and people.

Frances has spent her years making memories in her home county that are as vivid as the colours she brings to her canvases. ‘This Native Land of Mine’ offers a heartfelt celebration of County Clare, seen through the eyes of one of its most dedicated daughters.

The exhibition highlights nearly 50 years of creative contribution and invites visitors to immerse themselves in the places and memories that have inspired Frances throughout her life.
