County Clare’s weekly art and craft fair, Chapel Lane Market, is re-opening for the 2024 season on Saturday 2nd March at 10am!
Since first opening its doors to the public in 2015, Chapel Lane Market has gone from strength to strength, welcoming in artists and crafters from around the county and beyond and providing them with a indoor location to sell their wares and meet fellow makers, in the Community Centre on Chapel Lane.
In addition it has become the foremost place in Ennis to find genuinely locally made gifts, treats and souvenirs directly from the craftspeople and artists who have created them.
Joint organiser of Chapel Lane Market, Lorna Langenkamp of Wild Atlantic Silver, explains “We’re so proud to be opening up for the tenth year on 2nd March. We have weathered recessions and pandemics and each time we’ve come back stronger with stalls selling a huge range of truly high quality arts and crafts. It is a testament to the creativity of the people of County Clare that every week you will find something new and unique at Chapel Lane Market”
Sallyann Marron, Joint Organiser and of Sallyann’s Handmade Bags added, “We know that there continues to be great interest in shopping locally and supporting local businesses. Chapel Lane Market has been providing a shop window for craftspeople and artists in the Clare area for 10 years, and the quality and range of products on offer each week has never been higher. Our market is also a serious draw for tourists who love the fact that they can come into our market and buy a gift or souvenir directly from the maker.”
On Saturday 2nd March and every subsequent Saturday throughout the year there will be up to 20 stalls offering everything from silver jewellery, woodwork, leather, paper craft, handbags, soap, candles, crochet, resin art, watercolour and oil paintings.
Chapel Lane Market opens from 10am – 5pm every Saturday. Follow the signs and chalk arrows on the pavements around Ennis to find us!
