Since its inception 16 years ago, Tour de Munster has gone from strength to strength. This year alone the charity cycle has raised €285,655.37 for its beneficiary, the Munster branches of Down Syndrome Ireland (DSI).

Burren Cycling club are hosting the second year of Ennis Cyclocross in Lees Road on Sunday October 16th.

On 24 September 2016, Ennis man Noel Cusack will take part in a twenty four hour cycling challenge on the Isle of Man, incorporating the famous motorcycling circuit.

Following the success of last year’s inaugural Tear Through East Clare cycle it has been decided for the event to enter its second year.

This year’s Tour de Munster charity cycle is just around the corner.

Over 160 cyclists were recovering their weary limbs but with a great sense of satisfaction at the weekend after undertaking a 110km round trip straddling Clare and Galway in the Aer Lingus Charity Cycle out of Shannon Airport, which raised €10,000 for Shannon Group’s designated charities.

Ennis has been named as the host of a major new cycling event that will take place on the August Bank Holiday Sunday.

Cyclists from Aer Lingus and Shannon Airport saddled up this morning for a special 110k round trip straddling Clare and Galway in aid of two worthy charities.
