Davy Fitzgerald has given two players their first Championship start in the Clare team that take on Laois in Cusack Park tomorrow evening.
Whitegate’s Andrew Fahey will make his debut in between the posts while teenager Aron Shanagher has been awarded his first start.
Fitzgerald and his management have made four changes from the side that lost out to Waterford by seven points in the Munster Championship. Pa Kelly and Conor McGrath are ruled out with injury while David Fitzgerald and Darach Honan have been omitted. In their place come Fahey, Shanagher, Jack Browne and David McInerney.
There’s no room in the team for Aaron Cunningham, Colin Ryan or Cathal O’Connell. The trio are expected to see some action on Saturday evening.
