John Carmody was the first man to lead Clare’s Senior camogie team to glory in the Munster Championship in 2012. He had previously guided the minor side to an All-Ireland final appearance while he was in charge of the Kilmaley hurlers that tasted County success in 2004 and recently stepped down as Crusheen manager.

John O’Meara is a two time championship winning manager with Sixmilebridge. O’Meara has served as trainer with the Clare minor hurlers under Eamon Fennessy and was in the same role with the Éire Óg hurlers when they won the Intermediate Hurling championship in 2011.

Both men are to compete for the role departed by Moloney since he took on the position of Clare Senior Hurling Joint Manager alongside Gerry O’Connor.

Clare County Board intended to finalise an interview process this week with an appointment expected this month.
