Aer Lingus has today (Tuesday 10th January 2017) announced that their daily morning service from Shannon to Heathrow will now depart at the earlier time of 7.30am.
Aer Lingus' transatlantic operations at Shannon Airport could be negatively impacted when transatlantic flights commence for the first time from Cork next year.
Aer Lingus has cancelled a total of six transatlantic flights this week and have been accused of favouring Dublin passengers over its Shannon customers.
A flight from New York to Shannon was forced to make an unscheduled landing last night and later aborted its take-off when it was continuing its journey.
