The CEO of Shannon Group, Mary Considine, has said that the launch today of a new Shannon based aircraft and the early return of Aer Lingus’ New York JFK service is a further show of commitment by the airline to Shannon Airport and the region.
While across the country, people are battening the hatches, airlines are cancelling flights and pilots are being forced to divert to other airports, one intrepid flight crew has taken to the skies at Shannon Airport especially because it’s so windy.
Another piece of aviation history was created at Shannon this week with the arrival at an Irish airport - for the first time - of European aircraft manufacturer Airbus’ newest jet.
