The music, food and visitor attractions of County Clare will be in the national spotlight today when RTÉ’s popular Todayshow airs live from Bunratty Castle and Folk Park.

A delegation of key members of the New Jersey Senate and General Assembly led by Assembly Speaker Craig Coughlan, visited County Clare this week with the aim of strengthening ties between the US and Irish regions. 

Clare Fianna Fáil Senator Timmy Dooley is calling for Government investment in Shannon Heritage as it transfers to Clare County Council.

Shannon Heritage is holding a special festive Christmas lights trail through Bunratty Castle and Folk Park running from the 4th to 23rd December, which is guaranteed to spread festive cheer.

Bunratty Castle & Folk Park is embracing Autumn from Wednesday to Sunday this week (14th to the 18th Oct inclusive) with a special homage to the ‘season of mist and mellow fruitfulness’ on display throughout the popular visitor attraction.

Shannon Group is set to receive €2.6m to help iconic heritage sites including Bunratty Castle and Folk Park remain open until the end of the year.

Shannon Group has confirmed that it is seeking a total amount of €6.4M from the government to keep Bunratty Castle & Folk Park and King John’s Castle open until June next.

There is a big birthday celebration taking place at Bunratty Castle and Folk Park on Sunday 23rd February as Meabh and Saoirse - Bunratty's resident Irish wolfhounds – turn two years old!

Shannon Heritage will host a fantastic line-up of exciting events to take place at four of its popular visitor sites in Clare, Limerick and Galway during National Heritage Week 2019 (from 17th to 25th August).
