Past hurling stars of Galway and Limerick, with a Tipperary legend as a neutral, made Shannon a hurling crossroads today as they chose the hurling week of weeks to launch the 2nd Annual Shannon Airport Cup Invitational.
Hurling legends Brian Lohan & Ollie Moran will represent Clare and Limerick respectively in the inaugural playing of ‘The Shannon Airport Cup’, a Ryder Cup style golf trip with a difference.
With both Munster and Leinster guaranteed a place in the Champions Cup quarter finals, two former players will step onto European soil at the end of the month to battle it out on golf courses in the Algarve.
