All-Ireland Hurling Final fever has kicked up a notch at Shannon Airport this week as passengers and the airport team get ‘up for the match’.
Excitement is building as Shannon Airport passengers and staff gear up for the final, with the airport, festooned in Clare colours, expected to welcome hurling fans from all over the world, travelling home for the much-anticipated decider between Clare and Cork this weekend.
In anticipation of Clare’s first appearance in an All-Ireland Hurling Final since 2013, Shannon Airport has installed a giant ‘Backing the Banner’ good luck card in the airport terminal building, where fans can sign their messages of support for the team ahead of the big day in Croke Park, this Sunday, 21st July.
The Shannon Airport ‘Backing the Banner’ good luck card is open to all members of the public and the airport community to sign. It is located in the airport Arrival’s Hall.
With the scramble for match tickets well underway, The Shannon Airport Group charity committee has launched a raffle to give two lucky hurling fans the chance to attend the All-Ireland Hurling Final. The raffle is in support of the Group’s charity partners, The Alzheimer’s Society of Ireland and Milford Care Centre.
The grand prize includes two tickets to the match in Croke Park on Sunday 21st July, plus an overnight stay in the stylish 4-star Gibson Hotel on Saturday 20th July. A second-place prize of a pair of return flights from Shannon Airport to Paris is also up for grabs. Raffle tickets can be purchased online from Eventmaster.ie for €10 with all monies raised going directly towards supporting the vital work of Milford Care Centre and The Alzheimer Society of Ireland. The online raffle will close on Wednesday, 17th July at midnight.
