Kildysart Drama Society has confirmed that due to popular demand, an additional performance of their show ‘Big Maggie’ will be staged on Saturday next, March 16th at 8:00pm.
The group has already held four performances of the John B Keane classic over the past two weekends. Due to the popularity on those nights, a fifth showing will now take place at Kildysart Community Centre this Saturday at 8.00pm..
It’s 23 years since Jane Casey last produced this show-stopper in Kildysart. This time round, Colin McMahon is directing the production and certainly has put his own stamp on it; which is sure to delight audiences.
Big Maggie is a two act play set in 1960’s rural Ireland. Following the death of her husband, Maggie Polpin has a newfound freedom. As the play unfolds, we see how she deals with her family and her freedom alike.
This play will be a great night’s entertainment with lots of laughs, along with thought provoking moments.
