A prize-winning artwork by a 12-year-old student from Co Clare has been chosen to illustrate the 2026 Texaco Children’s Art Competition Calendar just published.
The work by Emily Coffey, from C.B.S. Primary School Ennis, is one of 13 artworks selected.
Emily’s piece, entitled ‘Warmth’, will appear during the month of January and will be seen in thousands of homes throughout Ireland during the coming year.
Emily won second prize in the 12-13 year age category of this year’s 71st Texaco Children’s Art Competition.
Final Adjudicator, Irish visual artist, curator, and educator Pauline O’Connell noted that “Emily uses coloured pencils to depict an embrace between owner and pet. The central positioning of the dog evokes contentment as it looks out from within the soft tonally blended warm coat.”
Calendars are currently available through a select number of Texaco service stations nationwide.
