Shannon Group today welcomed the new US Ambassador to Ireland in what was her inaugural visit to Shannon Airport since presenting her credentials to President Michael D Higgins earlier this month.
A major multi-agency emergency operation, also involving an RNLI lifeboat, was put in place in Co Clare this morning for a cargo aircraft which declared a Mayday over the Atlantic.
