Members of the Banner Cycling Group will leave Ennis for Cork on Saturday morning (27th) the eve of the Cork V Clare Munster Senior Hurling Championship clash.
The cycle group, comprising 14 cyclists, will leave from Cusack Park in Ennis at 7.30am and cycle the 150km to Páirc ui Chaoimh Cork raising funds for Bushy Park Addiction Centre and Banner GAA Club.
In previous years the Banner GAA club has embarked on an annual cycle to raise funds for local charities and the club itself. The events have been a huge success donating close to €45k to local charities with the club also benefiting.
This is the group’s eighth cycle and have already been to Kilkenny, Portlaoise, Thurles, Dungarvan, Tullamore and Cork previously. Charities that have benefited  to date include Clare Cancer Support, Cahercalla Community Hospice and Nursing home and the Clare Crusaders.
