Kilmihil GAA’s Under 12 girls footballers are bidding for the chance of a lifetime to play in Croke Park at half-time in this year’s Ladies All-Ireland Football Final next month.
The Ladies Gaelic Football Association celebrates its 50th anniversary on this Thursday July 18th.
The LGFA is asking clubs to celebrate their big birthday with them in their own way. They will then pick 16 clubs from across Ireland to play during half time interval in this year’s Ladies All-Ireland Final on the 4th August.
To celebrate, Kilmihil GAA Club U12 girls will “Walk to Croke Park” this Thursday evening. They will walk the 272km distance from Kilmihil to Croke Park by lapping their local GAA field.
The team will also take on Corofin U12s in a match on the same evening.
Everyone is welcome to come along and do a lap and help make their dream come through.
The ‘Walk To Croke Park’ will take place at Kilmihil GAA pitch on this Thursday 18th July between 6-9pm.
