Neil Moynihan has kept faith with the same fifteen that forced a draw with Waterford in the opening round of the Lidl Ladies Football National League for Sunday’s clash with Cavan.

Clare travel to Cavan in search of their first win while the Ulster county were defeated by two points against Westmeath last week and will be looking to get their first points on the table. Templeport in Bawnboy hosts the match which begins at 2pm.

On Sunday last in Carron, Clare bridged a five point half-time deficit to earn a share of the spoils against Waterford. It was a game manager Neil Moynihan felt his side could have easily won as he rued missed chances after the encounter.

Nonetheless he is sticking with the same team as fresh from their senior debuts, Nicole O’Doherty, Amanda Mulcair and Lizzy Roche are set for their second appearance while Laurie Ryan once more captains the team from full-back with star attacker Niamh O’Dea positioned at the opposite end wearing number fourteen.

Prior to the throw-in, the panel have received a major boost as Eimear Considine is committing to the squad for the year once her 6 Nations campaign comes to a close, according to a member of the Clare LGFA Board.

The Kilmihil woman was one of the most exciting dual-players in the county up until her decision to focus on rugby. She is giving rugby her first priority while the 6 Nations is ongoing and will return to the Clare panel after that.
