Shannon Commercial Properties has been announced on the shortlist for the coveted Property Industry Excellence Awards.
A Shannon Group company, Shannon Commercial Properties is a finalist in the Regional Excellence Category of the Irish Independent/ KPMG sponsored awards which will take place at the Convention Centre, Dublin on Thursday 8th November.
Shannon Group, through its subsidiary Shannon Commercial Property (SCP), is focused on creating a supportive, pro-business ecosystem for multinational companies in the Shannon Free Zone. This recognition of SCP success, comes after a record breaking period of investment over the past four years.
Since 2014, Shannon Commercial Properties has invested €40 million and creating new and upgraded office and advanced manufacturing space in the Shannon Free Zone.
In the period, SCP has constructed of new offices and advanced manufacturing units for tenants such as Jaguar Land Rover and GE Sensing and refurbished over 500,000 sq ft of facilities initially constructed in the 1980s.
Tenants that have occupied these upgraded facilities include Edwards Lifesciences, Magellan Aviation, STS UJet, Jetpower and others.
In its submission SCP outlined its multi-annual regeneration and development programme to completely rejuvenate the Shannon Free Zone. This ambitious programme will affirm Shannon as a significant regional strength and employment centre, supporting its current and future role as a driver of growth, not just at a regional level but also nationally.
