Safety advice during high temperatures

Ahead of the expected high temperatures in Ireland, Clare County Council is advising members of the public to be aware of a number of key safety messages.

Public warned of High Fire Risk 

The National Parks & Wildlife Service (NPWS) has appealed to members of the public to be conscious of the dangers posed by fire and to exercise extreme caution over this high risk period.

Met Éireann has issued a Status Yellow - High Temperature warning for Clare.

A man and you child have been rescued from the sea at Fanore in North Clare this afternoon.

Water Safety Appeal ahead of Bank Holiday 

Ahead of the August Bank Holiday weekend, the Irish Coast Guard, RNLI and Water Safety Ireland are appealing for people to take care when they are on or near the water.

Check on older people during warm spell – ALONE

ALONE, the organisation which supports older people to age at home, is urging older people to be careful and take necessary precautions as temperatures are set to rise this week, following a high temperature advisory notice from Met Eireann.
