Shannon Airport and Ireland West Airport have become the first airports in the world to be recognised as Age Friendly airports by the World Health Organisation (WHO).
Shannon Airport expects to welcome over 35,000 passengers through its doors over the June bank holiday weekend. This is an 87% return on passenger numbers over the same period in 2019.
Shannon Airport received some unexpected business this week after fuel supply issues at an English airport forced flights make stopovers here to take on fuel.
