Once again Gerry & Carmel Keane decorate their house in Ashfield Park on the Gort Road in Ennis for Christmas to help a local charity.

Over the last four years Gerry has taken weeks to decorate his home for Christmas and in doing so he has helped to support local charities – Pieta House, Milford Care Centre, Cahercalla Hospice and this year Elevate.

The Elevate Foundation was set up by Spanish Point’s John Burke in 2017. It funds youth mental health and wellbeing experts deliver programmes and  workshops for young people throughout Co Clare.

“Gerry has spent hours and hours decorating his house for Christmas which creates  Christmas Magic for the little ones and helps support Elevate who do wonderful work with young people who are vulnerable and need support. Gerry & Carmel’s home is the gift that keeps on giving. I encourage everyone to call out in the evening and enjoy this special event for the month of December and support Elevate” said Cllr Mary Howard at the turning on of the lights.
