Colm Collins has kept faith with the same starting fifteen for Clare’s All-Ireland quarter-final with Kerry.
That means Podge Collins will have to settle for a place on the bench where he will be joined by Seanie Malone, Enda Coughlan, Shane McGrath and Pat Burke amongst others.
After winning his appeal against a red card Cathal O’Connor starts at midfield alongside captain Gary Brennan. Joe Hayes continues in between the posts and he will be protected by a full-back line of Shane Hickey, Kevin Hartnett and Martin McMahon.
Gordon Kelly starts at centre-back and he’ll be flanked by Dean Ryan and Cian O’Dea. Corofin’s Jamie Malone has been one of the most impressive players of the championship, he starts at centre-forward with Sean Collins and Pearse Lillis on the wings.
Doonbeg’s David Tubridy is named on the edge of the square with Keelan Sexton and Pearse Lillis also in the full-forward with Lillis expected to drop deep as the game commences.
Throw-in is at 2pm with Maurice Deegan in charge of proceedings.
